Women and the War: How WWII Changed American Society

WWII improved the lives of depression-weary Americans around the world. After the region suffered through the Great Depression getting into the war was the last thing on People in america minds. But as the warfare brewed offshore and grew closer and closer it has become inevitable that America would have to get involved. As with most wars WWII presented expansion for females. Their tasks and duties at home widened while their particular husbands were at conflict. Their functions in the workforce greatly elevated. For the first time girls were accepted into the armed forces in an established capacity. WWII was one of the most important steps towards our present day state of male or female equality since it provided girls the opportunity to concern stereotypes by taking untraditional tasks such as in factories or perhaps the military and ultimately reached show America what they are capable of and why they may be more than deserving of equal privileges.

The Great Depression had previously changed American women's lives before WWII was even thought of.
