She's currently researching in the travel and leisure, leisure, and service arenas. Dr Edna J. Ragins is a co-employee professor of promoting in the University of Organization & Economics at North Carolina A& T State University. She is definitely involved in teaching, service and research. Her research pursuits include client behaviour, marketing and sales communications and promoting education. Her research has recently been published in a variety of journals and conference procedures.

The authors highlight current issues and trends in the usa spa sector. Strategies and techniques to get spa marketers to battle potential challenges are advised under the headings of target markets, product, place, promotion and selling price.

The spa market in the USA indicates robust expansion in sales volume and the number of services. This expansion is influenced by senior citizens who want a spot where they can get day spa treatments that improve their mental and physical well-being, and which offers rest, relaxation, exercise and indulging. Spas happen to be providing a numerous opportunities to get improving the mind and physique. Despite the expansion currently going on in the spa industry, there are still challenges to consider.

INTRODUCTION In the 1980s a fitness explosion came about and progressively people joined gyms and health clubs to engage in this tendency. 1 By early nineties, participation experienced slowed. Similar to the 1980s' expansion in fitness participation, spa participation is currently showing amazing growth. As more buyers turn to spa facilities while venues to enhance their health and well-being, the industry is escalating at amazing rates and marketing opportunities abound.
