1 . 1 . Summarize essential aspects of guidelines, regulatory requirements and codes of practice relating to personal role and responsibilities. Add legislation impacting teachers, govering bodies etc . The key facets of legislation, regulatory requirements and codes of practice which usually relate to my role particularly as a trainer at St John Ambulance are different. They incorporate, but are not really limited to:

•The Health and Safety at Work and so on Act mid 1970s

As an employee of St Steve Ambulance I need to adhere to the Health and Security at work Take action (1974). Gravell, A (2001) Preparing to Train in The Lifelong Learning Sector, learning issues say: " the Work imposes obligations on personnel within an firm commensurate with their role and responsibility” Being a manager it is vital that I generate my staff aware of their very own responsibilities to adhere to the plan as well as making sure that I stick to the insurance plan. Failure simply by my staff or personally to understand and work with the policy could result in injury or an accident. •RIDDOR - Reporting of Accidental injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Incidences Regulations 95 These Restrictions puts obligations on organisations, the self-employed and the Dependable Person in control of work building to record workplace mishaps, occupational conditions and around misses. For St David we have a major accident book and a report contact form which must be filled out for every incident. Intended for near does not show for, these are also sent to Hq as they collate the information to verify if there is a style. If they establish a style then fresh rules will be implemented. •We also have to comply with the Adventure Actions Licensing Authority/Service (AALA) Restrictions which encompasses the 2004 and The Activity Centre (Young Persons' Safety) Act 1995. AALA has been around since in 1996 following the Lime green Bay tragedy. ‘The purpose of adventure actions licensing is usually to provide promises to the public about the safety of those activity providers who have been granted a licence. In this way it is anticipated that the younger generation will be able to still enjoy interesting and revitalizing activities outside the house without being subjected to avoidable risks of fatality or disabling injury. ' (http://www.hse.gov.uk/aala/about-activities-licensing.htm ) (http://member.sja.org.uk/downloads/contribute/Section12-main.pdf) As stated above it is clear that St Ruben Ambulance has its policies and this we must follow these rules during our roles, but we also have to be aware of the legislation issued by the Government. My position as a teacher of BTEC's means We also need to be aware of and adhere to Legislation and Codes of Practice Impacting on Work of Teachers. These are: •The Kids Act 2004

•The Equality Action 2010

•Every Spanish student Matters Agenda created by government

1 . 2 Explain own duties for marketing equality and valuing variety. Analyse My roles and responsibilities for promoting equality and valuing diversity for St David Ambulance happen to be varied and something that I take very seriously. Personally I believe that add-on, equality and variety means that no person should miss out on an opportunity because of the race, gender, ability or social or perhaps economic background this exactly like the St John Ambulance code of practice. St Steve Ambulance code of practice states:

‘St John Secours is focused on creating the same, inclusive and diverse organization. We accept those of every age, race, sexuality, gender, disability, socio - economic history, religion or perhaps belief who want to help all of us uphold the charitable vision, mission and values or are in receipt of the services we provide. In this way we try to promote and reflect equal rights and diversity inside our local communities and at a national level. Those who want to support, get, develop or become involved inside the work of St Ruben Ambulance really should not be discouraged for this on any of the above environment. We do not tolerate any elegance relating to issues of equality, inclusiveness and diversity in...
