ABSTRACT

Things contain two types of charges such as confident and unfavorable charges. Like matter, expenses cannot become created or destroyed, but rather transferred from one object to another. Rubbing materials together is a easiest way to be able to charge them wherein one object will become negatively billed and the various other one can become positively billed. Electric fees can be seen as repulsion between two confident charges or two negative charges, and can become attraction between a positive fee and a negative charge. In this experiment, i was able to decide the presence of electrostatic charges with the use of an electroscope. It is performed by using three different kinds of pole (plastic, glass, and PVC), each applied with cotton cloth, cotton cloth, and fur material. The findings we have carried out brought about the idea that the fishing rods and cloths that captivated confirmed the existence of opposite charges in all of them while the rods and towels that repelled confirmed arsenic intoxication similar costs in all of them.

INTRODUCTION

Most matter consists of positive and negative charges. Under normal circumstances, an object is " electrically neutral” which means that the amount of positive costs that the target has is equal to the quantity of negative charges it has. An important principle to understand is that impose is kept, meaning that fee is not really created or destroyed, but rather transferred from one object to another. Rubbing supplies together may be the easiest way to be able to charge them wherein one particular object will end up gaining bad particals or will end up negatively recharged and the various other one, as it loses electrons, will become favorably charged.

Electrical charges are characterized by repulsion between just like charges and attraction between opposite expenses, which in particular shows that two positive fees or two unfavorable charges get rid of, whereas a good charge and a negative impose attract. When it comes to electrical conductivity, materials may be categorized into conductors and insulators. Conductors are elements which let electric charge to flow freely in one part of it to another materials, while insulators do not allow free of charge flowing of charge. In general, metals are conductors and nonmetals are insulators. Through this experiment, all of us used an electroscope to be able to determine the existence of electrostatic costs. This is done by using three different kinds of pole (plastic, a glass, and PVC), each rubbed with cotton cloth, silk cloth, and fur fabric. To easily determine the presence of electrostatic charges, very careful observations had been done. Interest can be discovered with the movements of the electroscope when a rod rubbed using a cloth was placed around it. Meanwhile, repulsion can be observed by doing the same thing, simply that motion can't be viewed with the electroscope.

SCHEMATIC METHOD

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

A. Plastic Pole

1 . Rubbed with Cotton

Rubbing the plastic pole with man made fibre produces a fragile attraction the moment placed near the electroscope. 2 . Rubbed with Flannel

Rubbing the plastic-type material rod with silk creates a weak fascination when put near the electroscope. 3. Applied with Pelt Cloth

Massaging the plastic material rod with fur material produces a poor attraction the moment placed near to the electroscope. W. Glass Fishing rod

1 . Rubbed with Man made fibre

Rubbing the glass fly fishing rod with cotton produces a poor attraction when placed nearby the electroscope. 2 . Rubbed with Flannel

Scrubbing the goblet rod with flannel would not produce any attraction or repulsion when placed near to the electroscope. three or more. Rubbed with Fur Fabric

Rubbing the glass fishing rod with hair cloth produces a strong appeal when put near the electroscope. C. PVC Rod

1 ) Rubbed with Silk

Rubbing the PVC rod with silk creates a strong interest when positioned near the electroscope. 2 . Applied with Flannel...
